Miss Wendy Chin, the COO of Akeetoons who was the MC of the event welcomed the guests to the SCoPe (Software Consortium of Penang) Members' Day and the launching of 'Scopie' - the mascot of SCoPe. Scopie was designed and contributed by Akeetoons with Mr Stanley Lim, the CEO of Akeetoons who is a current committee member of SCoPe. This event was launched by YB Mohammad Fairus bin Khairuddin, the Penang Deputy Chief Minister 1 on the 19th of June at PSDC, Penang.

Mr Jeffrey Lim, the Chairman of SCoPe delivered his welcoming speech by highlighting objectives of SCoPe as a one-stop software solution body in the Northern Region and seeking better coordination between its members to further enhance the networking relation during this event. Tuan Mohammad Fairus bin Khairuddin who is also the Chairman of the Board of investPenang gave his opening speech and followed by the official launching of the mascot, Scopie. The short animation clip used for the launching was prepared and developed by Akeetoons. Akeetoons' CEO, Mr. Stanley Lim later gave a presentation/showreel of what Akeetoons is all about by showcasing the comic characters and stories in the edutainment portal.

Objective

To build a strong brand in promoting ScCoPe as a one-stop software developing cluster in Penang.

The mascot will serve as a marketing and promotion tool to further enhance the SCoPe's image nationally and globally.
